What Is
It?

This is the most common viral sexually transmitted
infection.

the Mode of Transmission?

Sexual intercourse(vaginal, anus or oral)

What Are
Some Symptoms?
|
Painful blisters (lesions) on the vagina, penis
or around the anus. Tingling sensation prior to
breaking out, fever.

What Type
of Treatment Is Available?
|
No known cure. Acyclovir is a drug given after
first breakout and decreases future occurrences.

What Happens
If Untreated?
|
Prolonged infections and severe symptoms.
