About Us

  • The Indiana Family Health Council, Inc., (IFHC) is a private, non-profit corporation governed by a statewide Board of Directors comprised of up to twenty-five members.

  • IFHC is an advocate for family planning services for the individuals in need of these services and for providers of medical, educational and counseling services.

  • IFHC is a management agency, coordinator and technical assistance provider.

  • IFHC receives and administers the federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for family planning services. The Council contracts with non-profit and/or public agencies to provide family planning services for low-income working poor and teens.

  • The IFHC system provides contraception, STD testing and treatment, screening for cervical and breast cancer, screening for testicular and prostate cancer, pregnancy testing, counseling and referral for other health services.
